New Haven Academy Juniors participate in intensive internships across New Haven
Each year, NHA’s juniors spend three consecutive weeks working at internship sites across the community, pursuing hands-on experience in the careers they’re interested in pursuing after college.
By working with people who share similar interests, and who have professional experience in a given field, our students have the opportunity to learn and think critically about their career goals. At the same time, internship hosts are urged to push their student interns to accomplish specific, measurable goals and complete projects that are of use to their host sites during the duration of their internships.
Students attend their internships from Monday through Thursday of each week and attend school on Fridays. Written reflection before, during , and after the internship experience is a required part of each student’s work.
Internship sites in past years have included (but are not limited to):
Anna’s Catering
