NHPS Bus Situation

ENGLISH:  We learned Thursday of a labor dispute between the City’s school bus contractor and its unionized workforce. The Mayor and the Superintendent intervened in the dispute as soon as they learned of it, to ensure a safe afternoon drop-off Thursday for our students.  Based on the meeting between the school bus company and their union this evening, all buses will roll on their normal schedule tomorrow, Friday September 14th, in both the morning and the afternoon.  We expect negotiations to continue early next week.  We look forward to a good day of school tomorrow, and any further information will be communicated through ParentLink and on the NHPS website.

SPANISH:  Hoy jueves,  nosotros nos enteramos sobre un conflicto  entre la Compañía de Autobuses escolares y  su unión de trabajadores.  Tan pronto el Alcalde y el Superintendente Escolar se enteraron de este conflicto, ellos intervinieron para asegurar que sus hijos tuvieran transportación durante la tarde.   Basado en la reunión esta noche entre la compañía de autobuses y la unión de los empleados,  todos los autobuses correrán en su horario normal mañana viernes 14 de septiembre durante la mañana y la tarde.  Esperamos que las negociaciones continúen la próxima semana.  Nosotros esperamos que tengan un buen día escolar mañana y cualquier otra información será comunicada por medio de “ParentLink”  y nuestra página web.
